My name is Erik. I have designed a unique new way to mount nearly any shoe, with nearly any rollerskating hardware (plates).
This is my current street/thrash package. I got the Globe Fusion skateboarding shoes from http://www.zappos.com/index0.zml
and have been very pleased with the results. For cost effectiveness I chose
Because of the stiffness of my technique I don't recommend going too big on the plates. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see some Snider plates on a rad pair of skate shoes, it's just that my method adds the stiffness that you pay for in expensive plates.
I will alternate and make my next set on http://www.suregrip.com/products/sure-grip-plates/probe-probe-nts/
For $80.00 I will custom attach most shoes to most plates. Let me know if you have a unique idea and I will see what it would take. I have been avoiding shoes with hi-tech air bladders in the soles, or weak mid-sole materials as they would need additional structural support.

Also when ordering shoes, generally use 1/2 size larger than you would regularly wear. some of the stiffness comes from an inner plate that raises the foot-bed 1/4". I highly recommend Superfeet insoles for my skates.
